Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word sense Universal Life Energy, AN energy that is all around living and non-living bodies. Reiki is that the name given to a system of natural healing that evolved in Japan from the expertise and dedication of Dr. Mikao Usui (d. 1926). Fired by a burning question, Dr. Usui was inspired to develop this healing system from ancient teachings after long time of study, research and meditation. He spent the remaining of his life practicing and teaching Reiki. Today Reiki continues to be educated by Reiki Masters who have trained within the tradition passed down from Master to student. There is no belief system connected to Reiki thus anyone will receive or learn to offer a Reiki treatment, the only prerequisite is the desire to be healed.
A Reiki Treatment The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a professional person is a terribly easy method. The recipient simply lies on a couch and relaxes. How Reiki Was Originated?
Reiki was originated in Asian country thousands of years past. The Tibetan monks had mastered in the science and art of tapping Universal Life Energy for man use in healing and self-transmission to eventually lead to spiritual enlightment. It was taught only to a selected and disciplined law. Dr.Mikao Usui, a Christian system of rules scholar, rediscovered REIKI and teacher, who in the mid 1880 are, after responding to a challenge from several of his graduate students about how Jesus healed, undertook an intensive study of the healing phenomena of history's greatest religious leaders. In the Buddhist writings, he found the REIKI healing techniques and spent the later a part of his life applying and teaching this information.
